EFVET is a unique European-wide professional association which has been created by and for providers of technical and vocational education and training (TVET) in all European countries. Its mission is to champion and enrich technical and vocational education and training through transnational co-operation by building a pan-European network of institutions and practitioners which will
  • promote quality and innovation in Technical and Vocational Education and Training throughout Europe
  • develop collaboration, mutual co-operation and sharing of good practice
  • give colleges a platform of influence in European TVET policy
Developed with the support of the European Commission and the European Institute of Education and Social Policy, EFVET is the only transnational organisation of this type for TVET. Its policy is determined by its member colleges and schools. It collaborates with, but is independent of all government and funding bodies. Its income is derived from membership subscription, grants and sponsorship.

Promote quality and innovation in Technical and Vocational Education and Training throughout Europe.

Develop collaboration, mutual co-operation and sharing of good practice.

Give colleges a platform of influence in European TVET policy.

Provide a transnational framework to support all co-operative actions aimed at enhancing and improving technical and vocational education and training.

EfVET has a key role in representing its members and contributing to EC policy debate on behalf of the VET sector

EfVET is involved in the process of Lifelong Learning via EUCIS (European Civil Society Platform for Lifelong Learning)

Pourquoi rejoindre EfVET?

EfVET est une association professionnelle européenne unique qui a été créée par et à l’intention des acteurs de l’enseignement et de la formation professionnelle et technique.

Sa mission :
§  Promouvoir la qualité et l’innovation au niveau de l’Enseignement et de la Formation Technique et Professionnelle (TVET) à l’échelle européenne.

§  Développer la collaboration, la coopération mutuelle et partager l’expérience acquise

§  Mettre à la disposition des institutions d’enseignement supérieur, une plate-forme d’influence concernant la politique européenne du TVET.

§  Soutenir toute action collective dont le but est de développer et d’améliorer l’enseignement et la formation technique et professionnelle par le biais d’un système transnational

EfVET possède un rôle déterminant de représentation de ses membres  et  de participation au débat politique, au niveau de la   Commission Européenne, en faveur du secteur de l’éducation et de la formation professionnelle.

EfVET est impliqué dans le procédé de « la formation tout au long de la vie » via EUCIS (Plate-forme européenne de la société civile pour l’éducation et la formation tout au long de la vie)

¿Por qué asociarse a EfVET?

EfVET es una asociación Europea de Formación Profesional que fue creada por y para los proveedores de Educación y Formación Profesional y Técnica.

Su misión es:
Promover la calidad y la innovación de la Educación y Formación Profesional (TVET) en Europa
Desarrollar la mutua colaboración y cooperación, y compartir las experiencias de sus miembros
Poner a disposición de las instituciones educativas, una plataforma de Formación Profesional con influencia en la política Europea
Apoyar toda acción colectiva cuyo objetivo sea desarrollar y mejorar la Educación y la Formación Profesional, a través de un sistema transnacional.
Ser socio significativo para la difusión de los proyectos europeos, realizados por sus miembros

EfVET tiene la función concreta de representar a sus miembros y de participar en el debate político, en el marco de la Comisión Europea, para la mejora de la Educación y la Formación Profesional.

EfVET se involucra en el proceso de aprendizaje permanente, por medio de EUCIS-LLL (Plataforma Europea de la sociedad civil para la educación y la formación a lo largo de la vida).

What is the role of EfVET ? PDF Print E-mail
The principal aim of EFVET is to provide a transnational framework to support all co-operative actions aimed at enhancing and improving technical and vocational education and training; in particular:
  • to facilitate networking and partnership
  • to stimulate creation of co-operative projects and thematic networks
  • to enable widescale promotion and dissemination of innovative measures and transnational projects
  • to provide technical support and advice to its members and help them access E.C. programmes
  • to act as an agent for collaborative projects with TVET (technical and vocational education and training) organisations in outside Europe
  • to represent the views of its members issues in the European public forum and provide a platform for the European Commission and others to consult
EFVET's role as an organisation is to promote, stimulate, foster and encourage this process and to disseminate the good practice that emanates.

Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Europe needs a strong organisation to promote and represent its interests. The strength of EFVET lies with its members. Through its members - and their commitment to become actively involved in the issues facing TVET (technical and vocational education and training) - the vision for EFVET is that it will become:

  • the natural point of contact for the European Union on all TVET matters
  • the leading voice of TVET throughout Europe
  • the champion on TVET development and dissemination
  • the focal point of TVET educational development and establishing pan-European qualification and quality standards

Through EFVET you will have immediate access to colleagues across Europe committed to co-operation with similar interests and concerns and be able to make your views known to the European Commission and others responsible for European TVET (technical and vocational education and training) policy. As well as being part of an important European-wide network the services offered to members include:
  • A European Information Bulletin containing the latest news from E.C. programmes.
  • An EFVET Newsletter to which all members are encouraged to contribute information about themselves and their transnational projects
  • Individual partnership finding service and access to experts to help with project development, and submissions.
  • Discounted rates for all EFVET seminars and workshops, including a major Annual International Conference held in a different country each year
  • A full entry for your organisation in the compendium of EFVET member organisations regularly circulated as an easy reference for making links and finding partners
  • Opportunity of participating in special technical assistance projects with developing countries
 
Who are the members of EfVET? PDF Print E-mail

TVET (technical and vocational education and training) institutions in both the public and private sectors, national associations, consortia of colleges and schools, validating bodies, companies with training departments, individuals and public TVET bodies.
 
Membership of EFVET is per calendar year and will be automatically renewed every year.

In case a member would like to withdraw from membership he/she should do so in writing to the Central Office before 1 October of the year preceding the withdrawal.

The reason for this is the fact that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held every year in the last week of October. In this meeting the budget is set for the following year, based on o.a. the expected income from membership fees.

It is up to the members to keep the Central Office informed about any changes in the information EFVET has got on them on the database.

Every fully paid up member has a web-page on the EFVET website: www.efvet.org

In case the member would like to change the information in that web-page, he/she should do so by contacting us .

Members are requested to pay within 30 days after receiving the invoice for the membership fee, adding all the costs of transferring the money
