On the 3rd of July, the EfVET Spanish national board elected, unanimously, Ignacio Camacho, Director of Mobility Department in INCOMA, as EfVET National Representative of Spain. Therefore, he will be replacing Alfredo Garmendia (HETEL FP/San Viator) at the EfVET Steering Committee. 

As EfVET National Representative, Camacho, will be in charge of promoting and to heading up the activities of the network in Spain, likewise, he will represent EfVET Spanish members interests in the Steering Committee and thus to European Union.

Ignacio Camacho, with a bachelor’s in Economics and Master’s Degree in Education for Development, he is currently Director of Mobility Department in INCOMA.

Camacho on his new role has said “It’s an honour to be an active part of EfVET. It is an exciting challenge for me, and I hope I may contribute with my perspective and experience acquired during the last 15 years promoting internationalization among schools and students.  I also hope that in the three years to come, we can spread EfVET’s voice and activities to organizations in Spain dealing with VET”.

EfVET President, Joachim James Calleja on behalf of EfVET Members and Steering Committee, has addressed a farewell message to Alfredo Garmendia “I join my colleagues in also thanking you for your invaluable contribution to EfVET. You have truly given the organisation added value and support to move towards a more effective organisation for the benefit of European VET”

Alfredo Garmendia, stated  “I came to work and I did. In this period we have implemented many internal changes that are producing results. However, now it is time for replacement; time for someone who comes with renewed energies and fresh ideas. Time for Nacho”
