About the Project:
Realizing the need to build the pillars to reinvent the school capable of responding to the new challenges and opportunities of Education and Vocational Training of current times, a transnational partnership was established to develop, since 2018, Project No. 2018-I- PT OI-KA 202-O4774463, under the Erasmus+ Program, KA2, entitled “School 4.0 -Innovation in VET”.
The partnership consists of four Portuguese vocational schools, from the “Rede Escolas 4.0”, the European partners from Denmark and Greece, and EfVET from Belgium (European association of vocational schools), having as scientific and pedagogical consultancy two researchers from the Research Center in Human Development (CEDH) and consultants of the Support Service for the Improvement of Education (SAME), of the Portuguese Catholic University, Oporto, Portugal, namely Professor Doctor Joaquim Azevedo and Professor Doctor Luísa Orvalho.
The objective of this transnational partnership is to co-build and publish an Intellectual Output (IO), in Portuguese and English, both in paper and digital support (e-book), with links in each partner’s mother tongue, which constitutes an innovative theoretical-practical framework to help different stakeholders to rethink and identify the changes to be introduced in pedagogical, organizational and evaluative practices, in order to move from a traditional school, with only face-to-face classes, to a 21st century school, “SCHOOL 4.0”, oriented for positive change, also with distance learning and making Lifelong Learning the basis of the society of knowledge, through an approach centered on the human being, sustainability and resilience.
In this Intellectual Output (IO), which has its international dissemination at the Portuguese Catholic University – Porto, on October 14, 2021, in addition to disseminating the good practices designed, implemented by the partners in classroom and work training contexts, it is also intended to share Life Stories of “reference persons”, whose testimony is intended to inspire the appreciation of the school-companies relationship.
